High Yield Kraft & NSSC
Providing the highest quality pulp, at the lowest cost, is the goal of all fiber lines.
Box Board needs pulp with the following characteristics:
- Strong
- Good refineability
- High drainage/drying potential
- Consistent chemistry
- Presenting minimal deposits
- Consistent appearance pulp
Providing these characteristics, at the lowest cost, is particularly challenging in the process of making fiber from wood chips. Varying chip quality, multiple “black box” digesters and a complex system of washing and de-fiberizing all contribute to the pulp quality the fiber line presents to the machines.
